I worked with Chapin at Grand Union he was the nicest person on the second floor.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am very sorry to hear about Chapin. I had never met him but talked to him on the phone a few times. I wrote the book about Weed genealogy and history and it was truly nice to speak to a kindred spirit. He told me about his travels with his cousin Joyce. He sounded like a man who lived his life to the fullest. He also told me about how he tried to do the family genealogy and didn''t get anywhere and was glad that it was getting done. I was doing research when I read about Chapin and I wanted to express my sympathies and condolences to the family. My deepest sympathies, Jack Weed

Sparky was a remarkable man in so many ways.  Tho we only knew him later in life, his stories about road trips and cruises remain in our memories.  I think he is cruising the heavens and planning routes across the roadways crowded with angels.  Safe travels - know your memory remains with those who loved you.
