William Albert Weathersbee

William (Bill) Albert Weathersbee, 81, passed away unexpectantly June 11, 2022. He was the husband of Bonnie Taylor Weathersbee. They shared 57 wonderful years of marriage together. Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late Albert Fitzgerald and Mollie Naomi Bishop Weathersbee. Upon graduation from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, SC, he served in the United States Air Force for four years. Then he attended the University of South Carolina and obtained a marketing degree. After a 49 year-career as a State Farm agent in Columbia, SC, he was enjoying retirement in Hendersonville, NC with his family. Bill was a devoted husband, father and community leader. Throughout his life, he held leadership roles in many different organizations, serving as church elder, Charleston Southern University Board of Visitors member, Richland County Sheriff’s Department reserve deputy and USSSA player, coach, umpire and state director. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of golf and his grand-pups. He also enjoyed the University of South Carolina baseball, making trips to SEC Tournaments and College World Series. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters, Lisa and Donna; and sister, Minnie Jo Sibert. There will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charleston Southern University or a charity of your choice.
