William Robert Tate, 78, of Swannanoa, NC passed away September 18, 2023 at the CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville, NC. William was born April 13, 1945 to the late Willie Ray Tate and Beatrice Nancy Stuart. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Tate. William proudly served our country in the US Army. After the military he was employed as a truck driver. William had may interests and he loved traveling. Surviving William is his daughter, Regina Tate of Asheville, NC; son, Wayne Tate of Candler, NC; granddaughter, Brandy Sampler; and grandson, Robert Tate. William will be cremated and his cremated remains will be buried at sea.
