William Phillip Shelley of Hendersonville, NC passed away on March 26th 2022 at his residence of emphysema/COPD.
He was born October 5, 1930 at Neosho, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Henryetta Harpool Shelley, many brothers and sisters, and his only child Eugenia Shelley Denman.
“Mr. Wild Bill”, as he was called, was medically retired from the army, first serving as a Navy Seabee. During the Korean War, he was an army combat engineer and received five battle stars.
Along with his wife Linda, he loved RVing; Especially staying at the many military installations they visited.
He leaves behind his wife and his trusty dog, Dusty. Mr. Shelley requested no service or memorial. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road Flat Rock NC 28731.
