Timothy “Timmy” Roy Brooks II, 23, of Marshall passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Born April 29, 1999 in Asheville, NC, he was a son of Timothy Roy Brooks of Hendersonville, NC and Renee Sprinkle of Marshall, NC.
He grew up in Hendersonville and attended Mud Creek Christian School through 1st grade, then transitioned into Hendersonville Elementary and remained a Bearcat until he moved to Madison County to be near his grandparents were he graduated from Madison High School. He had been accepted to Mars Hill University and was scheduled to begin classes this Fall. Timothy attended Brookstone Church and worked in the hardware industry. Of his many passions in life enjoying a good book, playing video games with his friends, enjoying music and singing, and spending time with his family were among his favorites. As an athlete he was naturally strong, great weight lifter, enjoyed football, wrestling, and swimming. He loved the water. Timmy was a gentle giant who enjoyed putting smiles on other people’s faces. All who were lucky enough to have known him or been loved by him were fortunate to have experienced his warmth, caring, sweet, and kind heart and the best hugs in the world. He was generous to extremes, and extremely intelligent especially in technology. This earned him the nickname “Techy Timmy” by some of his family members. He once told his mother,” I live for my family.”, but he also lived for his friends whom he also cherished. He his preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Brooks; great uncle, Ralph Hensley; uncle, Jeff Brooks; and niece, Faith Maxwell. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Joshua D. Brooks of Hendersonville, NC, and sister, Meghan M. Maxwell of Barksdale Air Force Base, LA; step-mom, Shelly Brooks(Tim) grandparents, Rex and Christine Sprinkle of Marshall, NC, and Eleanor “Elly” Brooks of Blufton, SC; niece, Kinley P. Maxwell of Barksdale Air Force Base, LA; and nephews, Beau and Wyatt Maxwell both of Barksdale Air Force Base, LA. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Brookstone Church, 90 Griffee Road, Weaverville, NC 28787, with Rev. Jim Dykes officiating. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to everyone in the Weaverville P.D., Lowe’s of Weaverville, Brookstone Church, Mars Hill University, Madison County Health Department, Ingles of Weaverville, Hoopers Creek Baptist Church, Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services, and all family and friends for their outpouring of love and support through visits, calls, prayers, and meals. He was a gift from God and will be deeply missed.
