Thomas Dale Sanders, age 57, passed away at his home on July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. A resident of Asheville, Thomas was born on November 4, 1968, to the late Neal Eugene Sanders (d. 2015) and Patricia Dale Fair Sanders (d. 2005). He spent 11 wonderful years in his current residence.

Thomas was a devoted family man, known for his deep love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear. He shared 34 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Terri Lynn Sanders Whorley. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and family devotion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Terri; his children, daughter Kristina Hartshorn and her husband Nolan of Tacoma, Washington, and his son, Tommy Sanders of Asheville, NC.

Thomas was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves behind his grandson, Christian Stowe of Asheville, NC; granddaughters Summer Stowe and Krystal Flores, both of Tacoma, WA; and his great-grandson, Colton Stowe, of Tennessee. He is also survived by his brother, Tim Sanders of Swannanoa, NC; his sister, Dianna Morrow of NC; and his sister-in-law, Ruth Whorley of Asheville, NC.

His memory will also be cherished by his nieces and nephews, including Nick Sanders and Adi Sanders of Swannanoa, NC; Trevor Lunsford, Kimberly Lunsford and her husband Brandon, Kobe Lunsford, and Savanna Lunsford, all of Asheville, NC.

Thomas is preceded in death by his cherished granddaughter, Chasydi Flores, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wilma and John Whorley.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
