Terry Lee Lankford

Terry Lee “Spud” Lankford, 61, of Weaverville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 27, 2021 at his home. He was a son of the late Paul and Brenda Porter Lankford. In 1977, he graduated from North Buncombe High School and then went to work for the North Carolina Department of Transportation until his retirement. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church in Weaverville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lankford. Surviving are his brothers, Kenneth Wayne Lankford of Burnsville, and Paul Ray Lankford, Jr. of Weaverville. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 7, 2021 in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Service from 3 PM until 5 PM.
