Spencer Dean Snyder

Spencer Dean Snyder, 41, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away August 27, 2021 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dean Charles Snyder and mother, Martha Joyce Baker. Spencer graduated from A.C. Reynolds High School and was enrolled in college to become a math teacher. Spencer worked as a Night Auditor at Ramada Inn. He enjoyed trivia and computer gaming and was an Avid Harry Potter fan, published author, and math guru.

Surviving Spencer is his Fiancé of 13 years- Stephanie Hamlin; sisters, Stephanie Snyder (Mike Carroll) of Jonesborough, TN, Susan Shepherd (Steven) of Swannanoa, NC; brother, Scott Snyder of Swannanoa, NC; 13 nieces and nephews, and 5 great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on September 26, 2021 at Charles D. Owen Park at 1:00PM

A tree will be planted in memory of Spencer along with his remains and his beloved dog, Merlin.
