Simion Neaga

Simion Neaga, 71, of Asheville passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Mission Hospital. Born in the Republic of Moldova on May 25, 1952, he was a son of the late Pavel and Olga Neaga.  He retired after 20 years of service as a firefighter for KIV Airport, and was a member of Moldovan Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Maria Neaga; 2 children; and man additional family members. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 21, 2023 in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services, 702 Riverside Drive, Asheville, NC 28801. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville.
