Shirley Mae Metcalf

Shirley Mae Metcalf, 79, of Marshall, NC, passed away August 31, 2024 at Elderberry Health and Rehabilitation.

Shirley was born October 28, 1944 in Marshall, NC, to the late Earlis Metcalf and Florence Cutshall Metcalf. She loved gardening, bird watching, and spending time with family.

Surviving Shirley are her children, Peggy Metcalf Roberts, Barbara Robinson, David Metcalf (Connie), Crystal Metcalf, Tammy Burrell all of Marshall, NC; brothers, Gene Metcalf (Janice) Gerald Metcalf, Raymond Metcalf, Dwight Metcalf, Ricky Metcalf, all of Marshall, NC; sisters, Joan Poole (Fred) of Marshall, NC, Kathleen Reed, of Marshall, NC, Linda Hayes of Newport, TN; grandchildren, Shannon, Whitney (Crystal), Brittany, Latasha (Justin), Lance, Dawson, Miles, Kenadie (Cody), Cheyenne; great grandchildren, Trenton (Mady), Collin, Skylar, Jocelyn; and many special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Culvin Creek Church of God with visitation at 1:00 PM. Pastor Henry (Hal) Norton and Jason Shelton will be officiating. Shirley will be inurned at Roberts Cemetery.
