Sherrie Edwina Masten

Sherrie Edwina Masten, 70, of Candler, NC passed away on April 27, 2024 at the Solace Center in Asheville, NC. She was born on May 2, 1953 in Elkin, NC to the late Earl Masten and Vetreal Hinson Masten. In addition to her parents, Sherrie is preceded in death by her infant sister, Terri Lynn Masten.

Sherrie was a member at the First Baptist Church in Elkin, NC. She loved spending time on her front porch, bird watching, baking, and gardening.

Surviving her is her daughters, Carrie Ridgell(Andrew) of Boomer, NC, Tiffany Frizzell(Kevin) of Westminster, MD; grandchildren, Connor Ridgell, Colton Ridgell, Caeleigh Ridgell, Abby Magday, Grace Magday, Liam Frizzell; and her significant other, Carl.

Services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Bernstein for her compassion and support and to the wonderful staff at CarePartners Hospice for the amazing unwavering care shown during Sherrie’s brief illness.
