Samuel Nixon “Poppy” Hodgin, 66, of High Point passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville. Born February 12, 1954 in Jamestown, NC, he was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Hodgin. He was a graduate of Ragsdale H.S. and a member of Elevation Church of Greensboro, NC. He loved to travel and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving is his life-long friend and partner, Victoria Heslin; children, Samuel Hodgin, Jr. and Timothy Corum both of High Point, NC, Kimberly Taylor and her spouse, Jason, of Seagrove, NC, and Cynthia Dockery and Freddie Corum both of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Jonathan Corum, Bradley Clark, Nathan Taylor, and Victoria Taylor all of Seagrove, NC, Krysten Miller of High Point, NC, Hunter and Dakota Dockery of Thomasville, NC; and great grandchildren, Gabriel Corum and Madison Deese.
