Ruby Hendricks Obituary

Ruby Ann Hendricks, 79, of Kilsyth, WV passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. Born May 6, 1944 in Greenbrier County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Madeline Weis. Of her many passions in life cooking and baking (especially fudge), working in her gardens, “treasure hunting” at Goodwill, camping with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren were among her favorites. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Jack “Shotgun” Hendricks; children, Ruby Jean Hendricks, Teddy Eugene Hendricks, and Jackie McKinley Hendricks; siblings, Robert Arthur Hendricks, and Teddy Weis; and her canine companions, Duke, Little Bit, and Suzie. Surviving are her daughter, Tammy Hendricks Korniotes and her spouse, Mark, of Leicester, NC; sister, Regina Ford and her spouse, Fred, of Danese, WV; sister-in-law, Joyce Weis of Piney View, WV; grandchildren, Jessica Korniotes and her spouse, Brian Schultz, of Atlanta, GA, Katherine Korniotes and Laura Korniotes both of Leicester, NC; 3 wonderful great-grandchildren, Ryder, Louis, and Robin; and her faithful canine companion, Sally. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
