Ronald Jerry Ballard

Ronald Jerry Ballard, 81, of Weaverville, NC passed away July 27, 2023 in his home.
Ronald was born on April 16, 1942 in Madison County, NC to the late Lemuel and Cora Ballard. He is also preceded in death by all of his 10 siblings including a twin brother, and his son, David Ballard.
Ronald graduated from North Buncombe High School in 1960. His loves were his grandchildren, gardening, and NASCAR.
Surviving Ronald is his son, Jerry Ballard; daughter, Alma “Sissy” Calloway; grandchildren, Montana Calloway, Nat Tesner, David Tesner, Riannon Tesner; son-in-law, Benjie Calloway; honorary daughter, Pernee Tesner; and honorary son-in-law, T.J. Tesner.
The family will be receiving friends at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Skyland Prosthetics. The family will be planting a dogwood tree in Ronald’s memory at a later date.
