Roger Worley

Roger Worley, 67, of Marshall, NC, passed away November 2, 2023 in his home.
Roger was born March 7, 1956 in Hickory, NC to the late OT Worley and Myrtle Lee Rice Dockery. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Penland.
Roger attended Mars Hill High School. He worked his whole life as a carpenter. Roger was a devout Jehovah’s Witness and loved the ministry. He also loved horseback riding, camping, wagon training, annual fishing trips with his grandchildren, and other family get togethers.
Surviving Roger is his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Bowens Worley; son, Verlon Worley of Marshall, NC; sister, Nadine Ingle of Marshall, NC; brother, Robert Worley (Glenda) of Marshall, NC; grandsons, Tommy Worley (Morgan) of Mars Hill, NC, Kasey Worley of Marshall, NC; granddaughters, Melinda Cutshall of Columbus, NC, Tiffany Worley of Marshall, NC; nephews, Timothy Williams of Marshall, NC, and Marty Ingle of Weaverville, NC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Mars Hill, NC, with Jim Schmidt officiating.
