Robert ''Bob'' Louis Ellis

Robert “Bob” Louis Ellis, aged 92, of Black Mountain, North Carolina, passed away on June 22, 2026, at Madison Health and Rehab.

Bob was born on July 17, 1933, in New Hanover County, North Carolina, to the late Oscar Louis Ellis and Dorothy Belden Ellis. He attended both Clemson University and NC State University before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Bob enjoyed a long career in the textile industry. At home, he was an avid lover of nature who found great joy in working in his yard and watching the local wildlife.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laverne Jones Ellis.

He is survived by his three children, David (Michelle) Ellis, Ryan Ellis, and Keith Ellis.

Bob will be laid to rest at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Madison Health and Rehab for taking such wonderful care of Bob during a difficult time.
