Robert McKendree Obituary

Fran (Robert Francis) McKendree, 74, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home. Fran was born in Springfield, MA, to the late William Frederick McKendree and Marguerite Maxwell Park McKendree. He was a known singer/songwriter, original member of “McKendree Spring”, and co-creator of “Awakening Soul”. Fran received an Honorary Doctorate from Virginia Seminary.

Surviving Fran is his loving wife of 44 years, Diana Cruise McKendree; sisters, Mary Patricia Antonucci (Ronald), of Chatham, MA, and Anna Laurie McAfee (Paul), of Lockport, NY, plus too many ‘adopted’ family members to name. The date for a memorial service, to be held in Fran’s honor, will be announced separately.
