Robert Edwin Jones

Robert Edwin Jones, known to many as “Brother,” age 85, of 17 Big Bird Lane, Weaverville, passed away on December 21, 2025. He was born on September 30, 1940, in Buncombe County, where he lived his entire life.

He was the son of the late James Carl Jones and Willie James Burnette Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Evelyn “Sis” Styles; his sister, Iva Nell Parham, Jody Hendrix; and his brothers, Dalph, Tommy, and Richard Jones.

He is survived by his sons, Edward Jones (Tina), Robert Jones, and Mark Jones. He was “Pap” to his six grandchildren: Derek, Bill, Anthony, Andrea, Hannah, and Emma, and to his four great-grandchildren: Clayton, Jackson, Isaiah, and Bentley.

A graveside service will be held at Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
