Robert Dale "Bob just Bob" Dunlap

Robert Dale "Bob just Bob" Dunlap, 70, of Asheville, NC, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born August 4, 1955 in Denver, CO, he was a son of the late Robert Daniel Dunlap and Inez Allene Stout Dunlap. He was a graduate of Randall High School and The Police Academy in Colorado, and later received a degree in maintenance from Massanutten Technical Center in Virginia. He retired from law enforcement and later worked as a maintenance mechanic. Of his many enjoyments in life, beading, teaching Native American classes, riding motorcycles, and working with his dogs were among his favorites. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, David Dunlap and Pamela Dunlap; and niece, Rachel Bell. Surviving are his spouse of 28 years, Joyce Anne Keagy Dunlap; son, Robert Dale Dunlap of Milliken, CO; and sibling, Stephen Dunlap of Harrisonburg, VA. A service will be held at a later date.
