Robert Oren Coin

Robert Oren Coin, 75, of Weaverville, NC, passed away October 25, 2023 at his home. Robert was born on June 17, 1948 in Asheville, NC. He is preceded in death by his father, William Oren Coin; and son, Robert Evan Coin. Robert graduated from AB Tech with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He proudly served our country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He later retired as a self-employed carpenter. Robert loved history, economics, and pets. Surviving Robert is his loving wife of 30 years, Katherine A Kremer; mother, Mary Gorsline Coin; son, Mark Robert Coin of Alexandria, VA; daughter, Courtney Coin Bell (Stuart) of Asheville, NC; brothers, Keith Lee Coin of Fletcher, NC, Paul Coin (Tina) of Fletcher, NC; grandchildren, Andrew Kade Harrison, Maya Carpenter Bell, Cameron Bell, all of Asheville, NC; and several cousins, a niece and many nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on November 5, 2023 at Asheville Area Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services. Robert L Lewis will be officiating. Robert will later be interred at Ramsey Family Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Charles George VA Medical Center and to Four Seasons Hospice.
