Robert Christopher “Bob” Bankes, 56, of Asheville, NC passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.
Bob was born on February 7, 1969 in Prince Georges, MD. He graduated from Forest Lake Academy; Obtained a Nursing Degree from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences; and later a Masters of Business Administration. Bob worked as the Practice Administrator for Asheville Children’s Medical Center for 29 years. He was a member of Foster Seventh Day Adventist Church, and a faithful servant of the Lord. Bob immensely enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. He dedicated endless hours working on projects to beautify the family’s home and yard. He spent his life providing and caring for his family. Bob also enjoyed taking yearly trips to Keystone, CO to go snowboarding with his wife and children. Bob had an inspiringly strong and profound character. His loving, uplifting, and goofy personality will forever be cherished, remembered, and greatly missed by his loved ones.
Surviving Robert is his loving wife of 14 years, Amie Noelle Bankes; sons, Christopher Bankes (Victoria) of Asheville, NC, Cameron Bankes (Sophia) of Austin, TX; daughter, Ayden Stewart (partner, Bradley Campbell) of Asheville, NC; father, Ronald Claude Bankes of Greeneville , TN; mother, Nancy Kaye Welker Bankes of Greeneville, TN; sisters, Rhonda Malina (Phillip) of Tusculum, TN, Lisa King (Michael) of London, Ontario Canada; nephews, Scotty Parker (Kristen) of Traverse City, MI, and Austin Rayles of Fort Myers, FL.
A remembrance will be held at a later date.
