Richard Welch Obituary

Richard Welch, 81, of Asheville, passed away March 8, 2020. Richard was born February 1, 1939 in New York City to the late Harry and Loretta Welch. He is also preceded in death by a brother and son Richard loved music and was a drummer in his own band that played in England for many years. He proudly served our country and retired from the US Air Force. Surviving Richard is his loving wife of 36 years, Nellie Stewart Welch; 3 daughters, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American heart Association
