Richard William Walker, 80, of Asheville, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Born September 18, 1944 in Hull, England, he was a son of the late Frederick and Florence Walker. In 2017, he retired from Northrop Grumman.
His greatest love was his family and he leaves behind his beloved wife Cindy of 27 years and his brother Michael. He was a devoted father to Simon, Rebecca, Sally and step-daughters Sara and Ruth. He was an immensely proud and a loving grandfather to Ariel, Abigail, Benjamin, Owen, Ainslie, Elle, and Ella.
In his retirement he enjoyed riding motorcycles, photography, sailing his Catalina, and wood working. He truly had a charismatic personality and came alive volunteering and being around others. He enjoyed ending his days with a good scotch and PBS.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
