Raymond Fields Obituary

Raymond P. Fields, Jr, 72, of Mills River, NC, passed away December 7, 2021 in his home.

Raymond was born in Richmond, CA to the late Raymond P. Fields, SR, and Ida Ruth Poltl Fields. He is also preceded in death by his significant other, Debra Lynn Angevine; and brother, Robert “Bobby” Fields.

Raymond spent most of his life in New Jersey. He proudly served out country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ray enjoyed a number of hobbies through the years, but he most loved spending time with his beloved family and cats. He also loved camping in the beautiful, peaceful mountains of North Carolina.

Surviving Raymond are his daughters, Heather Sollers (Kevin) of Lynchburg, VA, Brynn Fields (Fiancé, Kurt Olender) of Charleston, SC; sister, Susan Scalia (Rick) of Carriere, MS; uncle, Joseph Poltl of PA; grandchildren Michelle and Ashley Mailloux, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Michael Sollers all of Lynchburg, VA.
