Rayfield Lunsford

Rayfield Lunsford, 79, of Asheville, NC passed away September 29, 2021 at Elderberry Nursing Home in Marshall, NC. Rayfield was born October 9, 1941 in Asheville, NC, to the late Therman E. Lunsford and Mary Irell Peters Gragg. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann McLaughlin, and brothers, Bobby and Billy Lunsford. Rayfield retired from Gerber Baby Food after 36 years of service. He was a member of Grassy Branch Baptist Church. Surviving Rayfield are his brothers, J.W. Peters, Archie Lunsford, and Joey Lunsford; and his sisters, Haven Hembree, Grace Brown, and Gail Robinson. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on October 9, 2021 at Grassy Branch Baptist Church with visitation starting at 3:30PM.
