Ray Livingston Howell Jr.
July 13, 1952 ~ January 26, 2024 (age 71) 71 Years Old
Ray Livingston Howell, Jr. was born on July 13, 1952. On January 26, 2024 he breathed his last breath on earth and his first one in eternity. He’s preceded in death by his mother (Gladys), father (Ray Sr.), and sisters (Mary and Linda.)
He leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews who admired his quiet discernment, quick wit, love of music, and fierce loyalty to those he loved.
Ray also leaves behind his cherished feline friend, Mudbone. The two were peas in a pod, each living solely to make the other’s life better.
Ray retired from a long career at AB Emblem of Weaverville, NC where he made many friends who recount him as loyal, funny, and kind.
Over the years, Ray enjoyed many hobbies such as computers, bowling, fishing, guns, knife work, and cheering for his favorite NC Tarheels.
In keeping with Ray’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of any service, his nieces and nephews ask that you’d bowl a frame, cast a line, or adopt a cat. Whatever you do to remember the man that was Ray Howell, do it with your whole heart and a smile on your face, as he would have.
