Randy Nathan Campbell, 70, of Asheville, NC passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Mission Hospital.
Randy was born in Gaston, NC to the late Hollis Nathan Campbell (1979) and Doris Cline Houston (2016). He is also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Campbell.
Randy loved animals, the outdoors, coloring to pass the time, and had a deep desire to defeat substances and mental health.
Surviving Randy are his daughters, Jennifer (Jamie Walker) of Marshall, NC, Heather (Rockford Winston) of Erwin, TN; sisters, Phyllis Bowers of Asheville, NC, Kathy Messer (Jim) of Asheville, NC; brother, Michael Campbell (Mary) of Asheville, NC; granddaughters, Jessica (Darien Serna) of Asheville, NC, Amber Penland of Asheville, NC, Haili Winston (Bryson Harwood) of Unicoi, TN; grandsons, Kayne Hughes of Erwin, TN, Damian Whiteside of Hendersonville, NC; greatgrandchildren, Naomi, Xavier, Asher, Emberlyn, and Kian.
A message from Jennifer and Heather, “My sister and I never really had the time we should have with our dad, but in his final years, he taught us that its never too late to try to right your wrongs, make amends with those you hurt or cause harm, and you’re never too far gone to turn around and go the other way. It is sure to be a better view. We will sure miss you, Dad.”
