Phillip Norman Gilliam, 58, of Hendersonville passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Elizabeth House. Born in Henderson County, he was a son of Beulah King Dildine and the late Billy Ray Gilliam. He attended East Henderson H.S. and worked as a painter for years. He was a deacon at Wayside Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by brothers, Darrell and Randy Gilliam, sister, Angie Gilliam Cornett, stepfather, Sam Dildine, and nephew, Brian Gilliam. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his spouse, Donna Cagle Gilliam; son, Phillip Keith Gilliam and his spouse, Michelle, of Hendersonville; siblings, Gary Gilliam and his spouse, Tammy, of Taylors, SC, Rosmarie Gilliam and Amy Gilliam both of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Mindy Moffitt and Landon Moffitt both of Hendersonville; great-grandchildren, Lainey Cooper, June Moffitt, and Jak Cooper all of Hendersonville; parent-in-laws, Harold and Adlee Cagle; sister-in-law, Wendy Gilliam, and Anita Cagle; brother-in-law; Wayne Cagle and his spouse, Penny; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 2511 Old Spartanburg Road, East Flat Rock, NC 28726 with Rev. Randell Gilliam Jr. officiating.
