Philip Hilton Neal

Philip Hilton Neal, 67, of Star, NC passed away at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC on January 23, 2025. Born in Detroit, MI on March 29, 1957 to the late Robert George Neal and Doreen Neal of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Philip graduated from Deerfield Beach High School in Deerfield Beach, FL. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. In the Air Force, he was a part of the operation, Desert Storm. Philip was part of the flagger force, assisting with traffic control. He enjoyed reading, watching westerns and documentaries about wars.

Philip is survived by his spouse of 17 years, Patricia Ann Tucker Neal; mother, Doreen Neal of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his sister, Linda Bonine(Don) of Myrtle Beach, SC.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the Rathbun House in Asheville, NC.

The family would like to make a very special thanks to Mission Hospital CICU nurses and doctors as well as Life Share of the Carolinas for their kindness and support. Many thanks to the Rathbun House for their hospitality.
