Paris Eldridge Obituary

Paris Edward Eldridge, 77, of Asheville, NC passed away August 21, 2025 at Silverbell Homestead in Fletcher, NC. Paris was a fun-loving father, husband, brother, and friend who served and loved his home, church, community, and country.

Paris was born on July 18, 1948 in Ewing, VA to the late William Henry Eldridge and Betty Jane Ingle. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anne Eldridge.

Paris graduated from Thomas Walker High School. After high school he served our country in the US Army from 1968 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. Paris retired from GE Aviation. He was an active member of Covenant Community Church. Paris loved serving the community through his church (Room in the Inn and Community Garden) and enjoyed the Walk to Emmaus prayer retreats. He also loved gardening, woodworking, hiking, ballroom dancing, and bicycling.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Kris Eldridge (Kimberly) of Louisville, KY; daughter, Angela Beckefeld of Lombard, IL; brother, Keith Eldridge (Penny) of Ewing, VA; stepdaughter, Rachel Anne Day (Michael Davis) of West Lafayette, IN; stepsons, Michael Day (Kitt Glavin) of Seattle, WA, Stephen Day (Susan Mays) of Austin, TX, Nathan Day (Kim) of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher Day of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Zachariah Eldridge, Nathaniel Eldridge, Roman Beckefeld, Christian Beckefeld, Joshua Smith, Matthew Smith, Sarah Day, Taz Day, Mackenzie Day, Jacob Day, Aaron Day, Quentin Day, Shaun Day, and Lincoln Day.

Because of his faith in Jesus, Paris left with the assurance that he will be reunited with us again one day.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Covenant Community Church with Pastors Sam and Erin Burleson officiating. Paris will later be inurned at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 10 AM. Paris’ family would like to thank Becky Williams for her companionship and caretaking of him. Thank you for your support; your kindness made such a difference and we truly appreciate you! To all the other caretakers of Paris, thank you! Your support enriched his life and was a blessing to our family.
