P.J. Duck

P.J. Duck, 87, of Asheville, NC, passed away July 27, 2022 at the CarePartners Solace Center, in Asheville.
P.J. was born in Madison County, NC, to the late Pender James Duck and Bertha Chandler Duck. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Willis, Genevieve Teague; brothers, Edwin, Philip, David, and Kenneth Duck.
P.J. worked for Northfork & Southern Railway. He was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church. P.J. enjoyed vegetable gardening and farming. 
Surviving P.J. is his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Bell Duck; son, Tony Duck and daughter in law, Maria Duck of Dawsonville, GA; sisters, Marie Duck of Marion, NC, Shirley Strum of Durham, NC; brother, Everett Duck of Lexington, NC; and grandson, Ethan Duck of San Antonio, TX. 
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Bent Creek Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler, NC. Rev Tommy Bridges and Porter Jennings will be officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bent Creek Baptist Church, 1554 Brevard Rd, Asheville, NC, or CarePartners Hospice Solace Center, 21 Belvedere Rd, Asheville, NC.
