Nathan Jeffery “Jeff” Franklin, 55, of Marshall passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville. Born March 13, 1963 in Asheville, he was a son of the late Joseph and Louise Debruhl Franklin. He was a graduate of North Buncombe High School class of 1981. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Franklin. Surviving is his spouse of 33 years, Sheri P. Franklin; children, Nikki Penland and her fiancée, Jon Poulin, of Mars Hill, and Eric Franklin of Marshall; siblings, Stevie Joe Franklin and his spouse, Shirley, of Weaverville, Ray Franklin and his spouse, Janice, and Sheila Marsh and her spouse, Rick, all of Alexander; and four wonderful grandchildren, Dani Penland, Justin Banks, Logan Penland, and serenity Franklin. A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
