Nancy Ann Hunter Wilde, 79, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Nancy was born August 28, 1939 in Marshall, NC to the late Frank W. Hunter and Ola Hunter Barnes. Nancy lived in Phoenix, AZ returning to North Carolina in December 2018, after retiring from Sandstorm Construction in Phoenix, AZ. Nancy loved life and was happiest with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia; brother, Franklin “Butch” Hunter; and grandparents, Dawson and Cora Wallin, and Wade and Madelia Hunter. Surviving are her children, Lynn Scott-DeSanto and her spouse, Danny, of Palm Desert, CA, and Fred F. Wilde of Sapphire, NC; siblings, Donald Hunter and his spouse, Pearl, of Sapphire, NC, and Frankie Hunter-Hardy of Grand Blanc, MI; granddaughters, Calli DeSanto and Jenny DeSanto both of Palm Desert, CA. No public services will be held. The family wishes to thank CarePartners Hospice and Mission Health for their wonderful care.
