Nancy Holt Rose

Nancy Holt Rose, aged 96, of Columbus, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

She was born on November 17, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to the late Newton O. Holt and Annie Marie Hoover Holt, She lived in Western Springs, IL until 1992 when she married her husband, Tom, and moved to LaGrange, IL. In search of warmer weather, they moved to Hendersonville, NC in 1995. In 2006, they moved to Tryon Estates in Columbus, North Carolina. She and her husband were members of Tryon Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, history, plants, and spending time with friends and her cat, Tigger.

Nancy is preceded in passing by her husband, Tom Rose; brother, John Holt, and sisters, Sarah Ellen Holt and Mary Holt Kepner.

Nancy is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Mark (Loy) Holt of Williamsburg, VA, Sue Holt (Jeff Braun) of Chicago, IL, Brent (Heather) Holt of Indianapolis, IN, Al (Joyce) Kepner of Pittsburgh, PA, Nancy Ketchum of St. Louis, MO and their respective families. She is also survived by and remembered fondly by Tom’s children, Deborah, Leigh and Charles.
