Michael Patrick Shepherd, 71, of Swannanoa, NC passed away November 13, 2022 at Emerald Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.

Michael was born in Takoma Park MD to the late John Blackburn Sinclair Shepherd and Ruth Reagan Shepherd. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Porter and brothers, James and Thomas Shepherd.

Michael loved his sports, enjoyed playing golf, and drinking beer. He was a hardworking man who loved and enjoyed being around his family.

Surviving Michael are his sons, David of Brevard, NC, Steven (Susan) of Swannanoa, NC; daughters, Kelly of Falls Church, VA, Kim of Hendersonville, NC, Jessica of New York, NY; sisters, Marie Butler (Jackie) of Damascus, MD, Anne Bonn of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Samantha, Andria (Timmy), Anthony, Benjamin, Bethany, Emmalee, William, Kayla, Taylor, Peyton, Hayley, Kasey, Alexzandra, Tyler; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
