Michael Maxwell Murphy, 70, of Asheville passed away April 9, 2023 at his home.
Michael was born on April 6, 1953 in New York City. He proudly served our country as an artillery surveyor, security police, and route driver in the US Airforce and US Army. Michael earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Surviving Michael is his partner of 21 years, Carolyn S. Reynolds of Asheville, NC; daughter, Lona S. Murphy of Savannah, GA; step daughter, Wendy J. Ramey of Asheville, NC; step son, Dale Reynolds Jr. of Asheville, NC; and step grandson, Daemon Ramey of Asheville, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Asheville Area Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services. Pastor Melissa Hughes will be officiating.
