Michael McCoy Obituary

Michael McCoy, 68, of Weaverville, NC, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his home. Michael was born in Buncombe Co, NC. He is preceded in death by his mother, Zelda Peek Wyatt and grandmother, Berlie Peek. Michael was the owner and operator of C&M Sawmill with his wife, Mary Ruth, for 33 years. He enjoyed being on camera and telling stories on his YouTube channel: “The Reel McCoy”. Surviving Michael is his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Ruth Hoyle McCoy; daughter, Shannon McCoy (Chris Spillman) of Dry Ridge, KY; son, Chad McCoy (Michele) of Weaverville, NC; sister, Becky Wyatt (Hoyt Stockman) of Greenwood, SC; cousin, Sherry Fobes Mitchell (Steve) of Atlantic Highlands, NJ; granddaughters, Zoe and Daisy McCoy, both of Weaverville, NC. A special thanks to Dr. Michael Messino and all his staff at the Messino Cancer Center, CarePartners Solace Center, all our customers over the years, and all his YouTube followers of the Reel McCoy.
