Matthew Starr Owens Brown, 25, born October 9, 1996, met his Savior, Thursday, April 14, 2022. A passionate son, husband, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and best friend. Matthew leaves a legacy of tender heartedness and love of animals. Matthew is survived by his husband, Michael Edward Brown his dogs Marco, Aalina and their cat Felix of Asheville NC. His Father Paul Eugene Owens & Laura Davidson, Mother, Joyce Darlene Davidson & Eric of Shelby NC. Siblings, Garrett Alexander, wife Dana and nieces Raegan Mae & Hadley Grace of Travelers Rest SC. Joy Elizabeth Davis, husband Mitchell and niece Kiyah Nilsa-Rose of Shelby. Brock Owens & Taylor Stanton of Alexandria VA. AJ Davidson & Jacob Davidson of Shelby. Brook Davidson of Manhattan NY. Mother-in-Law, Jackie Way, brothers Raymond & Cody of Canton GA. Father-in-Law Glenn Brown of Riverdale, Elizabeth Way of Lithia Springs & Jonathan of Newnan. Grand Parents Gene Owens & Kim of Hickory, Wanda Campbell of Shelby. Aaron Max Brooks of Shelby, Carolyn Proctor of Kings Mountain, Helen Davidson of Shelby. He is preceded in death by his beloved Grand Mother, Kathy Brooks, Grand Father Thomas Proctor, Aunt LaDonna Black, Tonya Thurman and Uncle Timothy Hamrick. Matthew leaves behind many cousins who he adored and so many friends who feel he had touched their life in a special way. Embracer of love, animals, and all things sparkly, Matthew loved beyond measure.. We will bid Matthew farewell on his favorite day, Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Landmark Baptist Church of Shelby NC at 2:30 pm with Reverend Allen Davis to officiate. The family will receive friends at 1:30 pm. Memorials are welcomed at Clifford’s Army Rescue of Shelby NC.
