Mary Alice “Polly” Shank LeFaivre March 6, 1928 – April 21, 2025

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Polly LeFaivre was a much-loved mother, devoted wife, passionate volunteer, and lifelong gardener. She passed away peacefully after a short illness at the age of 97 at Deerfield Retirement Community in Asheville, NC.

She is survived by her son Jeff (Barbara), her daughter Cassie (Colleen), her grand-daughter Michelle (Carmen), grandson Greg (Lindsey), and two great grand-daughters, Lucy and Laurel. Her husband Alvin pre-deceased her in 2012.

She created beautiful gardens wherever she lived, and had many splendid adventures with her husband. They were both avid fly fishers.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. If you wish to honor her life, make a donation in Polly’s memory to a local community garden or volunteer organization of your choice.
