Marvin Thomas Obituary

Marvin Jackson Thomas, 67, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the John F. Keever Jr., Solace Center in Asheville. Born June 10, 1952 in Mitchell County, he was a son of the late Jack Thomas and Faye Wilson Wheeler. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Family Dollar after 15 years of service as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Thomas and stepfather, Cecil Wheeler. Surviving is his devoted wife of 24 years, Lisa B. Thomas; daughter, Megan Stroupe of Marion; siblings, Bill Wheeler of Burnsville and Freida Thomas of Marion; and three grandchildren, Mason Collins, Maddox Wisor, and Tinley Stroupe.
