Marsha Lois Collins

Marsha Lois Collins, 84, of Asheviile, NC, died Oct 1, 2024 at Mission Hospital. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio she relocated to Naples Fl and subsequently found her home in Asheville, where she greatly enjoyed the mountains and vibrant community. She was an elementary school teacher in underserved communities of Cleveland for 30 yrs and after retiring was an educator and counselor for the Epilepsy Foundation. Marsha was known for her humor, love of pottery making, keen interest in politics and current affairs and most of all her generous heart. She was preceded in death by her husband Rick Collins. She is survived by her beloved son Ross Collins, the light of her life, and by her sister in law Maggie Collins of Albany NY. Her ashes will nourish the roots of a tree at Carolina Memorial Sanctuary.
