Mark "Bud" Griffin

Mark “Bud” Griffin, 76, of Weaverville, NC, passed away August 26, 2021 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Mark was born in Marshall, NC to the late Dewey and Zula Griffin. He is also preceded in death by his son, Odell Griffin. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Christene Hensley Griffin; daughter, Michelle Jones (Randy) of Weaverville, NC; son, Marvin Griffin (Denise) of Mars Hill, NC; grandchildren, Brent Harwood of Weaverville, NC, JJ Boyd (Kim) of Asheville, NC; granddaughters, Brianna Jones (Rodney Chambers) of Weaverville, NC, Jasmine Griffin of Mars Hill, NC; great granddaughters, Teagan Chambers of Weaverville, NC, Faith Wood of Mars Hill, NC; and great grandson, Jase Buckner of Mars Hill, NC. A memorial service will be held on September 11, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 86 Mt Zion Marshall, NC 28753 with Calvin Martin officiating. The family would like to give a special thank you to the cancer floor at Mission Hospital.
