Marilynn Byrd Braun, 102, of Black Mountain, entered into her sleep in Christ on Jan 25, 2026, she awaits the call of the "last trumpet” and the resurrection of the dead in Christ! Born in Old Fort, NC to Marvin And Lula Byrd of Arden. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, William R. Braun. Survived by her son, Marvin Oates (Idania) and sister Carolynn Sword, 2 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren. and cousins. She was a long-time member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Asheville and Hendersonville, NC. A public Memorial Celebration will be held at the Foster SDA church in Asheville on March 1,2026 at 3pm. Please No flowers.
