Margaret Louise (Mathis) Fightmaster

Margaret Louise “Meg” Mathis Fightmaster, 72, of Candler, NC, passed away in her home. Margaret was born in Waynesville, NC to the late Lewis Mathis and Flora Mae Phillips. She is also preceded in death by her late sister, Brenda Vickers. Margaret worked as a dispatcher for the Winter Springs Police Dept. and for the Seminole County School Board in Sanford, FL. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Sanford, FL, and God’s Filling Station in Asheville, NC. Margaret loved her children and grandchildren and loved God with all her might. Surviving Margaret are her daughters, , Sheila Lee of Candler, NC, Tina Marie Early (Jimmy) of Candler, NC, Deonna Mae (Murray) of Candler, NC; sisters, Wanda Evans of Candler, NC, Brenda Mathis of Franklin, NC, and Melba Mathis of Franklin, NC; nieces, Brandy MacDougall, Destiny of Candler, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Hudson of Jacksonville, FL, Meghan Lee of Sanford, FL, Dustin Lee of Sanford, FL, Ciera Hudson of Blueridge, GA, Ashton Early of Candler, NC; great grandchildren, Lukas Hudson of Jacksonville, FL, Bella Lee, Jason Lee, Lydia, Reese Blaine Hudson of Jacksonville, FL; cousins, Linda Creasman Pitts of Travelers Rest, Carolyn White Dove of Chester SC, and Dee Stoudamire; and best friend, Gayle Wright of GA. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday, May 8, 2021 at Lake Julian in Arden, NC, with Sheila Lee and Tina Early officiating.
