Margaret Myrtle Reese Buckner

Margaret Myrtle Reese Buckner , 86 ,of Marshall NC went to be with the Lord and into the loving arms of her Mommy and Daddy on March 3,2023

Margaret was born and raised in the Meadow Fork community of Hot Springs NC. She was raised on a mountain farm where she learned the value of hard work and the love of family and neighbors.

Margaret carried those values through life as a loving daughter , sister,mom , stepmother, grandmother , friend and dedicated employee of Family Dollar in Marshall for many years . She spent many years caring for her parents during their years long duration in a nursing home , often after working a full day herself .

Margaret was an avid fan of NASCAR and truly enjoyed watching the races with her brother Newland and son Billy. She enjoyed dancing with her friends and going to flea markets. Those who knew her will remember her for her quick witted humor , a never give up attitude and the way she loved her family.

Margaret is survived by her son Billy Willingham (Ashley), stepsons Kyle Buckner (Colleen) , Glenn Buckner, her two brothers Wilberdean Reese (Clara) and Newland Reese , two sisters Betty Reese Huizar and Wilma Reese Wilson.

Grandchildren Cristy Rogers(Lou), Rachael Champion, Amanda Willingham, Haley Willingham, Joel (J.T.) Willingham , Chris Buckner , Sean Buckner and J.P. Barron

She had 23 great grandchildren she loved as well.

She is predeceased by her beloved Mother Elvia Forester Reese and beloved Father Tillman Bliss Reese ,a sister Christine Reese and a brother Joel Tillman Reese.

Her family wishes to thank the nurses at Mission Hospital especially Allie and Stephanie her ICU nurses and Shayla Coughlin CNA who took exceptional care of her .

Also a special thanks to the Elizabeth House Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock for their wonderful treatment of Margaret and her Family.

In lieu of flowers the family would request donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice House in Flat Rock NC.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
