Louise Reid, 93, passed at home on 02/20/21 and went to join her
husband Ed who has been patiently waiting for 16 years.
Louise was born in Spartanburg SC the daughter of the late Ebb
and Thelma Jolley and moved to Asheville, NC with her husband in the
1950s. They were long time members of Groce United Methodist Church.
Louise was funny and lively and had many friends she gathered over the
years and kept fondly in mind even when she became less able to reach
out. She delighted in playing Bridge and is, doubtless, already
winning games in the beyond, with partners old and new.
Louise is survived by her brother Phil Jolley (from whom she still
expects a phone call every saturday) and daughter and son-in-law Jill
and Karl Ehrsam.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to ALS research. For
information concerning Lou Gehrig’s disease go to the ALS Association
website at als.org.
Louise will rest at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg with her
parents and husband. No services will be held at this time due both to
COVID-19 and the fact that she abhorred funerals and would much rather
her friends went out to lunch and remembered her with laughter.
