Laura Ann Penley Dellinger

Laura Ann Penley Dellinger, 75 passed away on August 22, 2025

Ann was born in Asheville on Halloween 1949 to the late Landreth Gerald Penley and Lucille Lewis Penley. She dedicated 27 years to the Asheville City school system serving as secretary mostly at Asheville High where she had a lasting impact on many students and coworkers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Ronald Lynn Dellinger, her daughter and best friend Sara Kate Bradford, her brothers Robert Wayne Penley and Kenneth Lewis Penley.

She is survived by a brother Ernie Mack Penley, her sons Ronald Andrew Dellinger and Paul Stanton Dellinger, grandchildren Caleb Dellinger, Graham Bradford, and Anna Bradford who were her pride and joy. Along with many nephews a niece and other extended family. Special thanks to her son-in-law Eric Bradford and her lifelong friends Kathy Snowden and Barbara Cassada for all their help in her final years. 

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at Newfound Baptist Church at 2:00 the family will receive friends for one hour beforehand.
