Larry Vance Rodgers, 84, of Clyde, NC passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Larry was born on September 15, 1940 in Asheville, NC to the late Carl Vance Rodgers (2008) and Ruth Ingle Rodgers (1971). He is preceded in death by his former wife, Carolyn “Toni” Bell Rodgers (1975).
Larry graduated Lee Edwards High School in 1958 and obtained his First-Class Radio license. He was later employed at WLOS TV 13 for 42 years as a Broadcast Engineer. Larry was affiliated with Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Asheville. He loved travel, photography, DIY projects, and reading.
Surviving Larry is his wife, Brenda Robinson of Waynesville, NC; son, Charles Rodgers (Charlene) of Fort Mill, SC; daughter, Carolyn “Cari” Rodgers of Cary, NC; grandchildren, Julia and Nathan Rodgers of Cary, NC, Alex Rodgers of San Diego, CA, and Charlie Rodgers of New York, NY.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Universalist Unitarian Congregation of Asheville on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 2 PM.
