Kristen Anne Granito Wise

Kristen Anne Granito Wise, 54, formerly of Elbridge, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her home in Arden, NC. 

Kristen was born on September 27, 1970 in Syracuse, NY to Richard Bessmer and Patricia A. Collins (Granito). 

Kristen was the owner of Wise Imagery. She was a self-taught nature and sports photographer.  She enjoyed gardening, creating a beautiful garden at her home in Arden.  Kristen could often be found cheering on her favorite sports teams - sometimes she was on the glass at a New York Rangers game right after having chemotherapy or she could be found taking photos of the Carolina Panthers that rivaled the photographers on the sidelines.  She was a life-long fan of Syracuse University Basketball.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 23 years, David Wise; her parents Bernard and Patricia Granito of Elbridge, NY; sisters, Cathy (William) Caltabiano of Warners, NY, Marybeth (Rick) White of Clay, NY, Amanda Moreland (Nee Moon) of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Richard Moon of Philadelphia, PA; nieces Kaitlin White and Emma Caltabiano and nephews Derick White, Michael Desimone and Luke Caltabiano.

A celebration of life will be held on her birthday, September 27th, 2025 at the Camillus Elks Lodge, 6117 Newport Road, Camillus NY from 12 - 4 pm.  In lieu of flowers, Kristen requests that contributions be made to METAvivor - Metastatic Breast Cancer Research, Support and Awareness at METAvivor.org.
