Koweta Ruth (Keener) Goodwin

Koweta Ruth Keener Goodwin, age 63, of Asheville, NC passed away on April 7, 2025 at her residence.  Koweta was born on July 9, 1961 to the late John Lewis Keener and Betty Jean Henry Keener.

Koweta is survived by her husband of 13 years, James Goodwin; and her sons, Jonathan Aldridge-Keener (Dwayne Aldridge-Keener), of Oxford, GA, and Travis Goodwin, of Asheville, NC; and her daughter, Tonya Montgomery (Nick Blackwelder), of Weaverville, NC.  She is also survived by her siblings, Lewis Keener, of Franklin, NC, Ricky Keener, of Franklin, NC, Michael Keener, of Franklin, NC, James McMahan (Holly), of Asheville, NC, Kewaunee Rogers, of Candler, NC, Kim Robinson (Tony), of Asheville, NC, and Evelyn Keever (Woody), of Asheville, NC; and her grandson, Jeramiah Montgomery, of Weaverville, NC.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
